Ralda Launches 2 Dingers, But Los Lunas Wins
Despite a great performance by Albuquerque first baseman Leonel Ralda, the Los Lunas Werewolves defeated the Dukes by the score of 8-5 at Werewolves Park. Ralda was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. James Kerr was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Matías Padilla. Los Lunas occupies third place in the Western Association Santa Fe Circuit at 51-69.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Werewolves sent 22-year-old catcher Charlie Nickerson to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Los Lunas on top, 7-5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Nickerson told the Los Lunas Citizen.
