The Wichita Falls Yardmen overcame a good performance by Amarillo shortstop Colin Campbell to knock off Amarillo, 9-8, at Yardmen Park. Campbell was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Wichita Falls reliever Álvaro Figueroa, now 2-1. The loser was Jack Carpenter. Wichita Falls is now 71-54. Amarillo is 70-55.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 8-8, 30-year old shortstop Zoilo Prado won it for Wichita Falls. With the bases loaded, Prado hit a 1-0 fastball from Melchor Dimas for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 9-8 win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Prado. "It was a great win."
