The San Marcos Cadavers defeated the New Braunfels Yodelers, 4-1, in Eastern Association action at Yodelers Grounds. San Marcos pitcher Liu-liang Shen had a standout performance. Earning his 9th save for San Marcos was Faustino Montes De Oca. The last-place Cadavers improved to 59-67.

San Marcos used a big swing from Medardo Castrillón to get the win. The catcher walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cadavers up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

Castrillón called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
