Yardmen Deal Preachers 6-5 Setback
The Wichita Falls Yardmen withstood a fine game by Abilene left fielder Basilio Martínez at Yardmen Park, to upend the Preachers, 6-5. Martínez went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Yardmen saw their record improve to 74-54.

Enrique Cárdenas was a prime contributor to the Wichita Falls win. He was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the 26-year old left fielder hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 6-0, in favor of the Yardmen.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Wichita Falls manager Lázaro Grado.
