Olympians Use Late Rally to Win
The Tempe Olympians had to overcome a big game from Prescott third baseman Tito Jiménez to leave Prescott Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. Jiménez was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Tempe pitcher Weston Bourgeois earned the win, hiking his record to 19-10. José Cisneros suffered the loss. The win makes Tempe 74-54.

Tempe used a timely hit from Ángel Sotelo to get the win. The shortstop stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Olympians ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Sotelo told the Tempe Times. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
