The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Medardo Cervantes was delighted, too. The 27-year-old Cadavers first baseman was making history with his 100th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Cervantes stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call.

"Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 100 in a 3-2 victory over Waco. Cervantes went 2-for-4 in the game, had 3 runs batted in, and scored 2 runs.

In a career spanning 370 games, Cervantes has batted .302 with 418 hits, 100 home runs, 260 RBIs, and 202 runs scored.
