Thunder Bay Upended, 5-3, by Thessalon
The Thessalon North Stars topped the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants, 5-3, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Thunder Bay Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Thessalon pitcher and Tokyo, Japan, native Seiju Yamasaki. Jibril Bashir was credited with the save for Thessalon, his 4th of the season. With the win over Thunder Bay, the North Stars improved to 76-53.

Thessalon used a well-timed hit by Amado Ramírez to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the North Stars ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Nice win for us," said Yamasaki. "Now we'll go after the next one."
