The Laval Insulaires picked up a win at Ballpark of Gatineau, knocking off the Gatineau Draveurs, 6-4. On the mound for Laval was right-hander Raúl Zaragoza. He played a key role in the triumph. Zaragoza got the win, improving to 11-14. He gave up 10 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 4 runs. Laval is now 56-73, Gatineau 71-58.

Laval used the timely hitting of Jeremías Valdez to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Insulaires on top, 6-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Not the sexiest win," said Insulaires manager Lee Perfect, "but I'll take it."
