With Late Score, Hammers Beat Wild Pigeons
The Hamilton Hammers handed the Kitchener Wild Pigeons an extra-inning, 4-3 defeat at Hamilton Stadium. First Baseman José López starred for Hamilton. He went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win makes Hamilton 52-79.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With two out, López hit a curveball from Darío González for a run-scoring single. The Hammers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Kitchener manager Ralph Ham.
