Good production from second baseman Gedeón Olivera helped the Gatineau Draveurs topple the Laval Insulaires, 6-4. Olivera went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Draveurs. Antenor Guzmán was called on to finish, recording his 14th save. With this game in the books, Gatineau is 74-58, Laval 59-73.

With Gatineau leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Olivera batted against Laval pitcher Henry Wilkes. Olivera hit a sinker to right for a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Draveurs on top, 6-2.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Olivera after the game.
