Poncio Gamero of the Kelowna Grizzlies overwhelmed the Vancouver Gas and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them, 6-0, on 6 hits with a total of 11 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"Poncio was on quite a roll," Kelowna manager Aidan Gordon said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."

This season, Gamero has worked 248.1 innings with 201 strikeouts en route to a 18-12 record and a 2.97 ERA.
