Calgary right-hander Declan Patrick pitched his team to victory over the Kelowna Grizzlies at Chargers Grounds. The final score was 2-1. The last-place Chargers are 54-73.

The decisive blow was delivered by Fred Buffy in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Richardson to win the game for Calgary. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Kelowna manager Aidan Gordon said, following the tough loss.
