The Brandon Threshers went home winners at Steinbach Grounds, thanks in large part to starter Bill Lortie. Lortie stifled the Steinbach Mennonites, enabling Brandon to grab the 2-1 win. Brandon has won 5 straight, while Steinbach has lost 3 in a row.
Evan Meijers had a direct impact on the outcome. Meijers contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Brandon up, 1-0.
