Cienfuegos Slaps 3-2 Loss on Santa Clara
|
The Cienfuegos Elefantes scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Santa Clara Leopardos at Estadio de los Elefantes. Cienfuegos pitcher Benjamin McDougall held his own in the contest. McDougall picked up the win for Cienfuegos, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 11-12. Rodrigo García was credited with the save, his 18th in 26 tries.
Desiderio Quiñones hit a run-scoring triple off Pedro García in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Elefantes in front, 1-0. Quiñones had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
