Elefantes Win 5-4 Nail-Biter Versus Rojos
Elefantes fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The Cienfuegos Elefantes took Basilio Martínez's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Estadio de los Elefantes. The final score had Cienfuegos getting past the Rojos, 5-4, in 10 innings. Martínez over 8 innings allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 8. Cienfuegos reliever Rodrigo García got the win, raising his record to 5-2. Luis Odio was tagged with the loss.

The Elefantes got a clutch hit from right fielder Desiderio Quiñones. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Elefantes.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Artemisa manager Ramón de León said, following the tough loss.

Cienfuegos has now won 5 games in a row.
