Pericos Lose 4-2 Decision to Camaguey
The Holguin Pericos got a superb performance from shortstop Larry Sisson, but the Camaguey Tinajones still won the game, 4-2. Sisson went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Camaguey sits in second place in the Torneo Oriental Camaguey at 62-65.

The Pericos had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Tinajones going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old shortstop Armando Arrey came to the plate. Arrey hit a 2-run triple on a 1-2 slider from Holguin hurler Gonzalo García. It was Arrey's 1st triple of the year.

Arrey said his team "played with focus and determination."
