Manzanillo Gets 4-3 Win
|
Estadio de Bayamo was the site of a competitive game between the Bayamo Rafagas and Manzanillo Martenos.
The Manzanillo Martenos topped the Bayamo Rafagas, 4-3, in Torneo Oriental action at Estadio de Bayamo. The standout performance belonged to Manzanillo pitcher and Guayama, Puerto Rico, native Luis Rivera. Manzanillo is now 58-60, while Bayamo is 65-51.
It could have been a different outcome for Manzanillo, had it not been for Manuel Hinojosa, the 24-year old center fielder . Hinojosa contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Manzanillo up, 3-0.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Bayamo manager Robert Faure.
