Bizantinos Win Again, Streak Now at 11
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Coro Bizantinos.
The Coro Bizantinos picked up a win at Estadio de Coro, knocking off the Maracaibo Independientes, 6-1. Starting pitcher Fernando Mascorro was a big reason why. The Independientes drop to 5-6 and continue their mediocre start to the 1913 season.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Mascorro was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Maracaibo trailing 3-1, Mascorro retired Davi Arnoux, who lined out.
