Rocking Horses Snatch Late-Game, 6-5 Win
The Winchendon Rocking Horses locked up a win at The Toy Store, knocking off the Newburyport Deep Ones, 6-5. On the mound for Winchendon was right-hander Rogelio Valdés. He played a major role in the triumph. Winchendon reliever Ramón Govantes picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Santiago Acosta absorbed the loss. Newburyport is now 6-5.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 16th, 29-year old second baseman Guiomar Castillo had a chance to be the hero. Newburyport pitcher Santiago Acosta had other ideas. But with two outs, Castillo drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Rocking Horses had themselves a dramatic win.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Castillo. "Maybe this win will help."
