Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Waterville Elms take on the Bangor River Hogs.

Julio Estrada, who is tied for 3rd in the NNEA in innings pitched with 71.0, propelled his team to victory over the Waterville Elms. The final score was 7-3, Bangor. With the win, Bangor raised its record to 18-11.

Menendo Rangel was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs for Bangor. With one out and the game tied in the top of the sixth inning, Rangel had a clutch at-bat. Facing Waterville hurler José Ocampo, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the River Hogs a 2-1 lead.

"Julio was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Bangor manager Aaron Clapp.
