Lewiston and Waterville put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Lewiston Quebeckers topped the Waterville Elms, 4-1, in Northern New England Association action at The Grove. The standout performance belonged to Lewiston pitcher and Llandudno, Wales, native Tom Ferry. In 9 innings, Ferry surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.

Lewiston used a well-timed hit by Manuel Cabrera to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Quebeckers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Ferry told the Lewiston Today. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."

The Quebeckers are now 24-21.
