Locksmiths Earn Win with Late Rally
The Stamford Locksmiths overcame a good performance by Mystic right fielder Armando Martínez to knock off Mystic, 7-6, at Ballpark By The Water. Martínez was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Luis Melgar closed it out for Stamford, earning his 2nd save. With the victory, the Locksmiths record stands at 24-29.

Stamford used the timely hitting of Gervasio Hernández to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Locksmiths on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Hernández told a Stamford Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
