The Toy Store hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Winchendon Rocking Horses defeated the Falmouth Submersibles, 2-1, in Southern New England Association action at The Toy Store. Winchendon pitcher Calvino Mejía had a standout performance. The win makes Winchendon 23-33.

The Rocking Horses benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the sixth. With Avelino Pérez at bat and Winchendon leading 1-0, the Falmouth miscue allowed Winchendon to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rocking Horses manager Roberto Ortiz, "I like our chances."
