The Bennington Melodeons rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Isaac Castro to a win, beating the Rutland Quarrymen, 7-1, at The Pit. The triumph puts Bennington at 42-16 for the season.

Estanislao Velázquez was vital to the Bennington win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the third with two out, Velázquez hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Melodeons.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Velázquez.
