Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Waterville Elms take on the Lewiston Quebeckers.

Waterville turned a good effort from starter Toribio Roldán into a win over the Lewiston Quebeckers at The Grove. The final score was 8-1. Roldán picked up the win for Waterville, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-5.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the The Grove crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.

Said losing manager Arquímedes Santiago: "We need to play with more of an edge."

The second-place Elms sport a record of 40-32.
