Melodeons 3B Dixon goes 3-for-5 in Win
The 17-6 Bennington win over Rutland was due largely to Brandon Dixon. The Melodeons designated hitter was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 4. Bennington is 56-27 and Rutland, with the loss, 25-58.

Pablo Rodríguez had a big grand slam home run for the Melodeons in the top of the first inning. With Bennington leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Gabriel Barajas and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Melodeons on top, 5-0.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Melodeons manager Alcides González. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
