The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Lewiston Quebeckers downed the Bangor River Hogs, 16-4, the largest share of the credit belonging to first baseman Cresencio López. On the day, López went 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 4 and driving in 4 for the Quebeckers. The third-place Quebeckers lifted their record to 48-38.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the first. That's when López hit a fastball from Angel D'Meza for a 2-run single, putting Lewiston up, 2-0.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Lewiston manager Arquímedes Santiago.
