Lightermen Curb Quarrymen, 4-1

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Burlington Lightermen and Rutland Quarrymen.
The Burlington Lightermen got a good effort from starter Julio Cantú in defeating the Rutland Quarrymen at The Dock. The final score was 4-1. Miguel Santiago recorded the save for Burlington, his 4th of the season.
Burlington took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Clifford Hollett stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Lightermen.
"Julio was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Burlington manager Daniel Garza.
The Lightermen improved to 51-38.
