The Bangor River Hogs defeated the Waterville Elms, 3-2, in 12 innings in Northern New England Association action at River Hogs Park. Bangor pitcher Serafín García had a standout performance. García, now 16-6, was the winner. In 12 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The first-place River Hogs lifted their record to 55-37.

The River Hogs got a clutch hit from shortstop Cornelio Estrada. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the River Hogs.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said García.
