Wet weather did not postpone the Burlington-Barre ballgame.

Burlington Lightermen starter Julio Cantú hurled his team past the Barre Headstones, 6-2. The second-place Lightermen now sit at 54-39.

Zacarías Tijerina was vital to the Burlington win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third with two out, Tijerina hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Lightermen.

"Julio can bring it," said Burlington manager Daniel Garza.
