Quebeckers Suffer 6-2 Loss to Elms
The rain did not keep Waterville and Lewiston from finishing their game.

The Waterville Elms topped the Lewiston Quebeckers, 6-2, in Northern New England Association action at The Grove. The standout performance belonged to Waterville pitcher and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, native Bolívar Carabajal. Carabajal yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 12 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 15-7.

In the bottom of the seventh, Waterville first baseman Pedro López hit a run-scoring single to left field. It put the Elms up, 3-2.

Carabajal attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The second-place Elms are 54-41.
