The House of Sorrow was the site for Southern New England Association action featuring the Templeton Red Onions and Winchendon Rocking Horses.

Winchendon beat Templeton on the strength of starting pitcher Calvino Mejía's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 11-1. Mejía yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 9-8.

Toribio Noda was a prime contributor to the Winchendon win. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the second with one out, the 26-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Rocking Horses.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Mejía.

Winchendon now sits at 44-54, while Templeton falls to 55-43.
