Submersibles Stumble, Lose 6-3 to Rocking Horses
|
Alfredo Guzmán was locked in. The left-hander led the Winchendon Rocking Horses to a 6-3 win against the Falmouth Submersibles at OceanGate Memorial Stadium. Guzmán picked up the win for Winchendon, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-10. The Rocking Horses are now 54-61.
The Rocking Horses got a clutch hit from José Covarrubias with one out in the top of the seventh inning. Covarrubias jumped on a 1-0 fastball from Aidan Thomson and hit a run-scoring single, staking his club to a 4-2 lead.
Winchendon manager Roberto Ortiz praised his team's "energy."
