The rain did not keep Barre and Bennington from finishing their game.

Sebastián Morillo, who leads the NNEA in wins with 20, propelled his team to victory over the Bennington Melodeons. The final score was 5-1, Barre. In 9 innings, Morillo surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.

The Headstones got an important contribution from shortstop Pascual Castellanos, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-0 fastball to right for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Headstones ahead, 2-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Bennington manager Alcides González.

The third-place Headstones bumped their record to 57-59.
