The Woonsocket Foxes beat the Providence Gems, 9-6, at The Mine. Woonsocket left fielder Tubrady Thompson banged out 1 single and 3 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. Woonsocket is third in the Southern New England Association Rhode Island Circuit with a record of 61-56.

Thompson had a key at-bat for Woonsocket in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 30th double of the season and gave Woonsocket an early 1-0 lead.
