Wet weather did not postpone the Stamford-Griswold ballgame.

Stamford pitcher Reynaldo González had a large part in his team beating the Griswold Vampires, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Stamford sits in last place in the Southern New England Association Connecticut Circuit at 55-65.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Vampires allowed the Locksmiths to score the winning run.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Allen told the Stamford Times.
