Guevara 3-for-4 to Fuel Lightermen Offense
The Burlington Lightermen dealt the Bennington Melodeons a 4-3 loss at Melodeon Grounds. Arquímedes Guevara was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Esteban Martínez earned save number 12 this season. The Lightermen improved to 72-49.

Burlington used the timely hitting of Édgar Doñate to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lightermen on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Burlington skipper Daniel Garza.
