Gamblers' Den was the site of quite a ballgame.

The Manchester Gamblers topped the Concord Stagecoaches, 10-9, with center fielder Santiago Marrero playing a big role. Marrero was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 4 for the Gamblers in the win. The first-place Gamblers, at 69-56, lead the Northern New England Association New Hampshire Circuit by 4 games.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Manchester. That's when Belerofón Escobar hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Fernando Cuestas to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Escobar called the triumph "a good team win."
