Submersibles Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
|
The Falmouth Submersibles defeated the Templeton Red Onions, 2-1, in 12 innings in Southern New England Association action at OceanGate Memorial Stadium. Falmouth pitcher Aidan Thomson had a standout performance. At 65-66, the Submersibles find themselves in second place in the Southern New England Association Massachusetts Circuit.
The Submersibles got a clutch hit from right fielder Miguel Rodríguez. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Submersibles.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Thomson said in his postgame press conference.
