Hill Mashes 2 Homers in 6-4 Lares Win
|
The game between Lares and Aguadilla is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Lares Gritantes downed the Aguadilla Alevines, 6-4, at Parquecito de Lares. The Gritantes were led by Paul Hill. Hill was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Brandon Taylor, the winner, is now 3-2. He struck out 5 and walked 7 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 4 hits.
Hill had a key at-bat for Lares in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Lares an early 3-0 lead.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Hill.
With the victory, the Gritantes record stands at 12-13.
