The home crowd had a good time watching the Yauco Napoleonicos and Ponce Hidalgos get after it.

The Ponce Hidalgos topped the Yauco Napoleonicos, 9-3, with youngster Louis Stevenson playing a key role. Stevenson was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times for the Hidalgos in the win. Cipriano Martínez earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 7 innings of work.

In the bottom of the third, 20-year old shortstop Lonny Leonard hit a 2-run home run. The 1st home run of the season for the Ponce shortstop put the Hidalgos on top, 2-0.

Stevenson said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.

The Hidalgos raised their record to 13-14.
