The Yauco Napoleonicos had to overcome a fine effort from Ponce pitcher François Châtelain to win, 6-5, at El Marenguito. Châtelain went 6 innings and allowed no runs. With this game in the books, Yauco is 11-20, Ponce 19-10.

Freddie Cairns was the walk-off hero for Yauco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Napoleonicos third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Cairns said in his postgame press conference.
