The Carolina Belicosos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Nathan Lloyd, who kept Ceiba hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Belicosos win at Parquecito de Carolina. Earning his 2nd save for Carolina was Vincent degruchy. The defeat makes Ceiba 20-14.
Lloyd was the winner. He's now 5-4, after putting the Ceiba offense in a vise grip. Over 8 innings, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while racking up 9 Ks.
"Nathan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Carolina manager Tarquino Cardona.
