The Vega Baja Dulzones defeated the Barceloneta Guardiamarinas, 11-1, at Parquecito de Vega Baja. Emeterio Guzmán was a standout performer for Vega Baja. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 3 runs he scored and 3 he knocked in. The 7th-place Dulzones improved to 18-18.

The Dulzones got an important contribution from first baseman Ricardo Robles, who in the bottom of the first knocked a 1-0 curveball to right for a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Dulzones ahead, 2-0.
