Loss Tarnishes Fine Performance by Medina
The Dorado Defensores got a superb performance from first baseman Remigio Medina, but the Florida Estribaciones still won the game, 9-8. Medina was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Iestyn Smith. The triumph puts Florida at 24-17 for the season.

Florida used the hitting of Daniel Arellano to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Estribaciones on top, 5-0. For the game, Arellano had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Arellano.
