The Canovanas Criptidos stifled the Ceiba Comesopas, 4-2, at Parquecito de Canóvanas. Nicandro Salvador had his hitting cap on. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Canovanas. Valentín Ramírez was the winner. He's now 7-3. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Esdras Turcios. The first-place Criptidos lifted their record to 31-10.

With Canovanas trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Salvador hit a fastball from Esdras Turcios for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Criptidos ahead, 4-2.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Salvador told a local reporter after the game.
