Hermosos Lose to Tormentas in Walk-Off
|
Guayanilla registered a win at Parquecito de Guayanilla by beating the San German Hermosos, 2-1. Pitcher Nicolás Gallegos was one reason why the Tormentas triumphed. The Tormentas improved to 25-18.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 1-1, 21-year old left fielder Quincy Cotton won it for Guayanilla. With the bases loaded, Cotton hit a 3-1 fastball from Luis Moreno for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 2-1 win.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Gallegos.
