Aprendices Earn Late 6-5 Win
The Guayama Aprendices faced a tough opponent in Cayey pitcher Sarpedón Rodríguez, but still scratched out a win at Parquecito de Guayama by a final score of 6-5 in 15 innings. Rodríguez went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The Aprendices move to 22-22 with the win, while the Brumosos drop to 21-23.

Batting in the bottom of the 15th, 18-year old center fielder Mitchell Beckwith had a real shot to win the game. Cayey pitcher Haffy McCormick was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Beckwith hit a run-scoring single. The Aprendices had a walk-off triumph.

"At the end of the day, wins and losses are really the only thing that matters," said Beckwith.
