Aguaceros Take Down Pastelillos, 3-0
|
The Humacao Aguaceros topped the Yabucoa Pastelillos, 3-0, in Liga José Padilla action at Parquecito de Yabucoa. The standout performance belonged to Humacao pitcher and Derby, England, native Harley Hopes. Hopes yielded no runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-5. Nelson O'Sullivan earned the save for Humacao, his 1st of the year.
Quinlisk Corey had a critical at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for Humacao. He came through with a solo home run to put Humacao in front, 2-0.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Corey.
The loss makes Yabucoa 30-17.
