Maduritos Lose Versus Adjuntas, 2-1
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Adjuntas Beatos and Corozal Maduritos came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Adjuntas Beatos downed the Corozal Maduritos, 2-1, at Parquecito de Corozal. Stellar pitching by Alarico Sabouga had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the LJP in quality starts with 9, handcuffed his opponent all game. Sean Daniel closed it out for his 4th save.

Adjuntas used the timely hitting of Valentín Moreno to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beatos on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Sabouga.

With the win, Adjuntas goes to 20-29, while the Maduritos fall to 23-26.
